This started the way most bad ideas do — over drinks, too late at night, with someone saying “we should write this down.”
So here we are. Three friends who spend too much time reading the news, arguing about it, and then arguing about why we’re arguing. We figured if we’re going to do this anyway, we might as well let other people watch.
What is this?
Serial is where we hash out what’s happening in the world. Long essays when something needs pulling apart. Short takes when we just need to get it off our chest. The occasional chart or image when the data tells the story better than we can.
We care about facts. We care about context even more. And we believe that sometimes the best way into a hard conversation is with a well-placed joke — not because the subject isn’t serious, but because laughter has a way of cracking things open.
Why “Serial”?
Because none of this makes sense as a one-off. The news doesn’t stop, the arguments don’t stop, and apparently neither do we. Each piece builds on the last. Think of it as a running conversation you can drop into whenever you like.
Pull up a chair. We saved you a seat.
